Baby Corn Fritters

These are very quick and easy to make crisp bites and perfect starters that vanish in no time. Baby corn is boiled, dipped in a mildly spiced batter and then deep fried. This recipe is a bliss for all baby corn lovers. Once served, you won’t be able to keep your hand off.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Servings: 10 fritters

Ingredients

  • Baby Corns  10
  • Maida  3 tbsp
  • Rice Flour  1 tbsp
  • Corn Flour  1 tbsp
  • Soya Sauce  1 tsp
  • Salt  to taste
  • Black Pepper  1/2 tsp
  • Ginger – Garlic Paste  1 tsp
  • Green Chilli Paste  1tsp (optional)
  • Curd  1 tbsp
  • Salt  to taste
  • Black Pepper  1/2 tsp
  • Water  as required
  • Oil  to fry

Directions

  1. Boil water in a pan, add baby corns and let it boil on medium high flame for three minutes. Strain and wash under cold water.
  2. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and add water little at a time so that the paste is medium thick and not very runny.
  3. Dip the baby corns in the batter and deep fry.
  4. Once golden brown, remove them on a serving plate and serve hot.
